Corn Sheller
Corn Sheller’s were used to remove dried corn from the husk. It was more of a 18th and 19th century device, but was effective for the job that was being done. There are a few different types of corn shellers. The blue version below was awarded an award at the 1860 Topsfield Fair, but was never picked up by the original owner, so it now is apart of our display. The wooden Yankee corn sheller was used more on a commercial basis. These are a part of the planting & plowing display in the Grange Building.
