Correspondence 1940’s
For over 200 years that the Topsfield Fair has been operating, there has been a number of notices given by the public and even state and local officials. Some have been ‘thank you’ notes, awards and more and we have preserved these letters as a way of communication. We take great pride in the history behind these letters and they remain an important part of the Essex Agricultural Society history.
The majority the 1940’s letters from 1944-1948 are about creating a race track for horse racing. Check out the letters below to see a flashback to the 40’s and remember what it was like during that time!
