Hay Rake

Hay rake also known as a drag rake, bull rake, or loafer rake depending on the section of Essex county. It was used as an agricultural rake to collect cut hay or straw for later collection by a wagon. In this photo behind the rake is a picture we have of a local farmer Dick Cunningham on top of a large hay mound. These artifacts were donated to the fair and are on display in the Grange Building.
