Chubby Checker is widely known for popularizing the twist dance style, with his 1960 hit cover of Hank Ballard’s R&B hit “The Twist”. He has performed at the Topsfield Fair 6 times – 2018, 2010, 2006, 2005, 2001, & 1997.
