Correspondence 1950’s
For over 200 years that the Topsfield Fair has been operating, there has been a number of notices given by the public and even state and local officials. Some have been ‘thank you’ notes, awards and more and we have preserved these letters as a way of communication. We take great pride in the history behind these letters and they remain an important part of the Essex Agricultural Society history.
A number of historical moments took place in the 50’s including declaring 207 Boston Street as the official address, adding a swine show/committee, and creating “Joy Town.” We take pride in the history behind these letters as they are an important part of the Essex Agricultural Society history.
