Archive Books

The Essex Agricultural Society has been around for more than 200 years and throughout the years Topsfield Fair has worked hard to develop archive books for the public. In 2010 we started “Archive Books” which cultivate more of the Topsfield Fair as a whole, instead of just listing winners, prizes, etc. The poster from that year’s Topsfield Fair becomes the front cover of each book, so if the cover looks familiar to you that is why! Each of the departments many winners are recognized and department chairman or its’ chairperson send in a blurb of the memories and experiences from that Topsfield Fair in order to highlight some of the best moments, along with the funny ones! In addition, we recognize our Scholarship awardees from the past year and include a timeline of the major events from the year. Because the 2020 Fair has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will not be a 2020 Archive book.
