Automobile Racing

Automobile races first appeared at the Topsfield Fair in 1933. It continued through the 1930’s and in 1938 the Fair featured its first high-speed automobile racing. It always attracted a large crowd to cheer on racers as they went around the dirt track. Many of the shows included stunts, as well as the traditional racing events.
