Cock Crowing and Hen Flying Contest

Within the Poultry Exhibition there are a number of competitions done – cock crowing and hen flying are just 2 of the many. Any fair goer knows the cock crowing competition is happening because of the loud noises and squawks coming from the birds. Any male bird is allowed to enter in the competition and many do! Hen flying is also another popular competition that always attracts a large crowd. This competition has very specific rules and regulations, however it’s a fun time to see how far the hen’s can fly within the boundaries. The Poultry Department puts emphasis on the bird owners to be responsible for their birds actions and always puts on a fun and safe display.
