By-Laws of Essex Agricultural Society
In general, by-laws are created by a society, company, corporation, etc. in order to create order among its members. Their purpose is simply to make sure all members are on the same page and are abiding by the same law. Our by-laws have been amended over the years a number of times. The Executive Board and Society members must approve the amendment by vote in order for it to be updated. Our records of By-Laws date back to 1829.
