Over the 200 years Topsfield Fair has been running we have had a number of public administration express interest and contact us. We have preserved these letters, as that was the way of communication back then, for the public to see. The letters range from local to state to federal officials and everyone in between. We have also documented communication between shows/acts, concessions. etc. that are interesting to look back on. The 80’s began some of our most traditional aspects of the Fair. Some of these include adding vendors to “Joytown,” which we now call “Kiddy Land,” beginning dairy promotion in the Cattle building, and hosting field trips for elementary students (Tri-Town students only at the time). General Manager Paul Corson also joined the Fair family starting in 1980. We take pride in the history behind these letters as they are an important part of the Society history.
